2026 Annual Art Show Rules
Hi everyone,
It's time to get ready for our "Annual Art Show." The event will take place at the
South Florida State College, artwork drop off March 4th and 5th. The awards
ceremony will be held March 6th, 5pm. Don't forget to register on line by Monday
March 2nd, 5pm. Hope to see you there.
Details:
1. No entrance fee for up to date members of the DAC for the 2026 season,
dues are still $35. Non member entrance fee will be $50.
2. Award ceremony will be held at the South Florida State College in Arcadia
March 6th, 2026 -5PM. Student award ceremony will be 10am Saturday,
March 7. Annual show will be open to the public whenever the college is open
beginning March 7, 2026.
3. 4. Art drop off - Wednesday 3/4, 10am-4pm and Thursday 3/5, 10am-4pm.
You will be asked to pick-up artwork which has been on display at the college
during the 2025 season, no later than 4:00pm Thursday 3/5. We will do our
best to accommodate, but we will not be responsible for artwork left past this
time.
5. Art pick up will be April 9, 2026 noon to 4pm. You may leave your artwork on
permanent display at the college for the 2026 season if you wish. DAC will
not be responsible for artwork scheduled for pickup after 4pm.
6. 7. Artist may submit 3 pieces, all mediums are acceptable.
Categories will be: 1. 2D - painting, 2. 2D - photography (All 2D artwork
must be properly framed and wired for hanging, no saw blade hangers) 3.
3D - sculpture/carving/wood turning.
8. 9. Itinerary for the evening: 5PM, 6pm awards
Artists must register for the show on line at desotoartscenter.org by Monday
March 2nd.
10. Copies of original artwork will not be acceptable
11. The board of directors of the Desoto Arts Center has the right to reject any
artwork it deems unacceptable.
12. Members, may not submit artwork that has appeared in our past shows.
13. Artwork will be judged in each of the 3 categories. Prizes: 1st place-$200,
2nd place-$150, 3rd place-$100. Plus ribbons will be awarded.
14. All artists entering our events agree to allow DAC to use their artwork in
advertising, press releases, on our website, and any other promotional
opportunities. Care will be taken to give each artist and work proper credit.
15. Participants are subject to all rules of membership which may change from
time to time.
16. All artists must sign a "Hold Harmless" agreement
17. Artwork sold during the show must remain on display until April 9, 2026.

18. Desoto Arts Center will collect a 20% commission on all artwork sold.
19. Painting, photography, and 3D judges will be announced shortly.
