ANNUAL ART SHOW 2025 - February 14
It's time to get ready for our Annual Art Show at South Florida State College!
2025 Annual Art Show Rules
- No entrance fee for up-to-date members of the DAC for the 2025 season, dues are still $35. Nonmember entrance fee is $50.
- Award ceremony will be held at the South Florida State College in Arcadia February 14, 2025 - 6PM. Student award ceremony will be 10am Saturday, March 1. The annual show will be open to the public whenever the college is open beginning February 17, 2025.
- Art drop off - Wednesday 2/12, 10am-4pm and Thursday 2/13, 10am-4pm.
- You will be asked to pick up artwork which has been on display at the college during the 2024 season, no later than 4:00pm Thursday 2/13. We will do our best to accommodate, but we will not be responsible for artwork left past this time.
- Art pick up will be March 20, 2025 noon to 4pm. You may leave your artwork on permanent display at the college for the 2025 season if you wish. DAC will not be responsible for artwork scheduled for pickup after 4pm.
- Artist may submit 3 pieces, all mediums are acceptable.
- Categories will be: 1. 2D - painting, 2. 2D - photography (All 2D artwork must be properly framed and wired for hanging, no saw blade hangers) 3. 3D - sculpture/carving/wood turning.
- Itinerary for the evening: Open at 6PM, award ceremony at 6:30
- Artists must register for the show online below by Feb. 11th
- Copies of original artwork will not be acceptable
- The board of directors of the Desoto Arts Center has the right to reject any artwork it deems unacceptable.
- Members, may not submit artwork that has appeared in our past shows.
- Artwork will be judged in each of the 3 categories. Prizes: 1st place-$200, 2nd place-$150, 3rd place-$100. Ribbons also will be awarded.
- All artists entering our events agree to allow DAC to use their artwork in advertising, press releases, on our website, and any other promotional opportunities. Care will be taken to give each artist and work proper credit.
- Participants are subject to all rules of membership which may change from time to time.
- All artists must sign a "Hold Harmless" agreement
- Artwork sold during the show must remain on display until March 20, 2025. Artists must register for the show online below.
- Desoto Arts Center will collect a 20% commission on all artwork sold.
- Painting and 3D judge will be Heather Arenas.
